It would be interesting to use these techniques to track down origins of life and origins of meteors and figuring out, which parts of our cultures benefited and in what ways from, which random events. Electromagnetic waves would definitely change things, perhaps for the better, perhaps not, but definitely change. Whereas much has been studied in this realm, much more is needed to be studied:

NASA also conducted a meteor finding group with people on snowmobiles and collected about 900 meteorites and much of which was determined from Mars. Could have come here millions of years ago. Brought with it some of Mars and some of its history. Bacteria, fossil records and etc.
