Pick up a bargain at swap shop

UNWANTED items can be exchanged at a swap shop next month.
The Give and Take Day, in Oadby, will enable people to find a new home for furniture, kitchenware or bric-a-brac.
The event is designed to cut waste sent to landfill.
It takes place on Saturday, August 7, at Brocks Hill Environment Centre, in Washbrook Lane, Oadby.
Tony Kershaw, chairman of organiser Leicestershire Waste Partnership, said: “The event offers something for everyone and is a great opportunity to save money by picking up a valuable household item free.”
Electrical items cannot be exchanged.
Items can be dropped off between 10am and 1pm and picked up between 10.30am and 2pm.
